- Based primarily at our Lewisville facility, with occasional work at our Denton distribution site, this position offers regular hours from Monday to Thursday (6 am - 3:30 pm) and Friday (6 am - 10 am), with potential overtime during busy periods.
- The candidate will be part of a team of experienced technicians, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisors
- We are seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician with expertise in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting for a diverse manufacturing environment. The role involves maintaining equipment such as CNC machines, flat table lasers, hydraulic and mechanical press brakes, CNC wire benders, and various welding systems (MIG, RSW, and mesh welding).
- The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills and a solid understanding of electrical controls, including troubleshooting electrical boards, relays, and PLC systems. Diagnosing both mechanical and electrical components is crucial, as well as relaying technical diagnostics to external service providers.
- Must have transportation as they would primarily be working in Lewisville but when needed will have to travel to Flower Mound/Denton occasionally.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and machinery. This role is critical to maintaining productivity by addressing breakdowns promptly and performing routine inspections.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections of machinery and electrical control systems to detect potential malfunctions or signs of wear.
- Conduct tests to ensure proper functionality and safety of all equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical control systems and mechanical equipment to prevent unplanned breakdowns and reduce equipment downtime.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, including control systems and electrical boards.
- Identify, repair, and replace faulty electrical and mechanical components as necessary.
- Quickly respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns, diagnose the root cause of failure, and implement effective repairs to minimize machinery downtime.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability of machinery and reduce downtime.
- Maintain detailed logs and records of all inspections, maintenance, and repair work performed.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth machine functionality and continuous production flow.
- Assist in training operators and junior technicians on basic troubleshooting procedures for machinery.
Position Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing setting, with a focus on electrical control systems and mechanical repairs.
- Ability to quickly diagnose failures in both mechanical and electrical systems and execute effective solutions to prevent equipment downtime.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively and document issues, repairs, and preventive actions clearly.
- Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in machinery.
- Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree in electrical systems or a related field is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Extensive experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical failures in machinery.
Requirements:
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle breakdowns quickly to maintain production flow.
- Flexibility to work overtime as required to support manufacturing demands.
- Strong understanding of electrical control systems, including troubleshooting electrical boards, wiring, and PLCs.
- Must adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, particularly around electrical systems.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as required.
Beneficial Skills:
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
- Previous experience with PLC troubleshooting and repair is strongly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and hydraulics is advantageous.
- Bilingual is a plus.
