A successful Commercial HVAC and Building Automation Systems company is seeking a skilled HVAC Controls Technician to join their team! The ideal candidate will have experience with DDC components and systems, and a good working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems. This position involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting building automation and control systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Commissioning, programming, point-to-point testing and troubleshooting HVAC controls and Client
• Using computers for programming building automation systems and for documenting work performed
• Using multi-meters and calibration equipment to analyze and fine tune controls operation
• Performing routine preventive maintenance and calibration
• Responding to emergency maintenance and repair requests
• Ensuring all installations and repairs comply with safety and quality standards, adhering to relevant codes and safety regulations.
• Providing excellent customer service
• communicating with customers and collaborating with team members in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent, technical training in HVAC systems preferred
• 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC controls or related fields
• Advanced skills working with various computer operating systems and applications
• Tridium N4, Distech Controls experience is a plus
• Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams and flow diagrams
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Aptitude for mechanical/technical work
• Effective written communication skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
