Responsibilities include performing routine checks, addressing minor repairs, and aiding in project completion. Your efforts contribute to maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming space, minimizing downtime, and extending the lifespan of our assets.
Maintenance Helper Duties: - Assist in routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment.
- Support skilled tradespeople in complex repair tasks, providing tools and hands-on assistance.
- Participate in building inspections to identify repair needs and safety hazards.
- Facilitate event setup and breakdown by arranging furniture and equipment.
- Execute minor building repairs such as patching walls and fixing door handles.
- Maintain outdoor areas through landscaping and snow removal.
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
- Perform emergency custodial duties as needed.
Education: - High school diploma required; additional technical education preferred.
- Relevant coursework in mechanical repairs, electrical systems, and general maintenance.
- Some may pursue majors or specializations in facilities maintenance or industrial technology.
Experience: - Hands-on experience in maintenance tasks.
- Previous work assisting skilled maintenance technicians is beneficial.
