Be part of whats next!nnOil States Piper Valve is currently looking for qualified candidates for the position ofnnINSPECTOR InnOKLAHOMA CITY, OKnnIn our organization, the INSPECTOR I has a critical and challenging role in helping achieve innovation and meeting ournncommitments by unpacking, marking, and visually checking incoming parts and products as directed by higher levelnnInspectors.nnEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesnnUnload and position parts for processing by the Quality Department utilizing lifts and hoists as needed.nnExamine each part for visible defects and report observations to higher level Inspectors.nnOperate and/or adjust equipment to mark parts accurately.nnApply consistently accurate and clear markings on variety of products.nnCheck each mark for clarity and depth.nnWork from written and verbal instructions, procedures, and documents.nnPerform all tasks as required of a Safety Sensitive position.nnOther Duties and ResponsibilitiesnnVerify all marking equipment is in good condition and all safety features are operational prior to operation.nnVisually inspect all markings for accuracy, completeness, and visibility according to established departmentalnnprocedures.nnSafely, effectively, and efficiently perform marking duties with near 100% accuracy.nnEffectively and efficiently use time to safely perform duties.nnComplete all paperwork in required manner and time.nnDemonstrate a willingness to learn to produce new products, use new procedures, and embrace and support change.nnFollow and support established HSE programs.nnReport any unsafe situations to appropriate Management Team member if necessary.nnAll other duties or tasks as assigned.nnKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesnnAbility to complete assigned tasks with near 100% accuracy on an ongoing basis.nnAbility to read and interpret work instructions.nnAbility to establish and maintain constructive working relationships with people.nnStrong problem-solving skills.nnAbility to manage multiple tasks and projects daily in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.nnAbility to speak, write and read English.nnAble to work independently or as part of a team on a broad variety of projects.nnWillingness to work additional hours to meet tight deadlines.nnQualification RequirementsnnHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent.nnOne (1) year previous experience with repetitive meticulous responsibilities. Preferably in a manufacturing environment.nnMust be able to pass a vision acuity test (corrective lenses allowed).nnMust obtain and maintain active Level 2 OSI-OKC Piper certification to operate Class I forklifts.nnMust obtain and maintain active OSI-OKC Piper certifications to operate cranes.nnPhysical RequirementsnnAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.nnExtended walking, sitting, and/or standing.nnTools and Equipment UsednnFrequent use of computer equipment to include but not limited to computer, monitors, keyboard, mouse, scanner,nnprinter, computerized laser marking equipment, and dot peen marking equipment.nnFrequent use of company designated software programs to include but not limited to marking software, employee timenntracking software, and office productivity software packages.nnPeriodic use of overhead cranes and other lifting devices including but not limited to 1/2-ton cranes, 1-ton cranes, 5-nnton cranes, and associated rigging.nnPeriodic use of Class I forklifts.nnQua lity/Customer Service ImplicationsnnDirectly impacts workplace safety through active participation in OSI-OKC Piper HSE programs and safe work practices.nnIndirectly impacts first pass test percentage, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction through highly effective andnndetailed marking of components prior to them being released for assembly.nnIndirectly impacts customer satisfaction through quali
