Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Equipment Technician is responsible for installing and maintaining machinery and equipment using various tools and equipment. This role includes troubleshooting and performing bench repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on plant property and equipment using hand and power tools
- Specialized maintenance on equipment employing hydraulics and/or pneumatic functions
- Operate mobile equipment such as man lifts, cranes, and forklifts
- Install, upgrade, and retrofit equipment within an industrial environment
- Complete detailed maintenance/inspection in accordance with manufacturer or company guidelines
- Coordinate with the Electrical Section of the Maintenance Department as necessary
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Troubleshooting skills in mechanical malfunctions, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Competency with a variety of hand and power tools
- Completion of assigned maintenance projects in a timely and accurate manner
- Thorough understanding of workplace safety and lock-out/tag-out procedures
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office software applications
*This position requires eligibility to legally work in the United States and a high school diploma or equivalent education. It also involves working a 12-hour rotating schedule.
