Provides engineering support to other departments/organizations to support station/company goalsnnEDUCATIONnn• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Required)nnEXPERIENCEnn• 5 Years experience in engineering, licensed operator activities or maintenance supervisory experience in support of nuclear power production.nn• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred. (Preferred)nnLICENSE/CERTIFICATIONSnn• There is no Certification or Licensure ListednnESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESnnDESIGN ENGINEERING TESTING AND PROGRAMS MANAGEMENT:nn• Sets priorities and schedule, reviews and monitors organization activities, evaluates impact of internal and external factors (e.g., technology, regulations, business environment), and implements response plans.nn• Reviews and approves engineering documents (e.g., drawings, specifications, and procedures), engineering related studies, plans of action, investigations, and recommendations for purchase.nn• Prepares/edits reports, disposition papers and presentations for upper management review. Prepares and delivers oral and written communications relating to organization activities (e.g., reports, presentation, and division meetings).nn• Represents department/company on internal work teams and committees and with external entities.nn• Ensures Station, Management and Regulatory commitments are met.nn• Knowledge of mechanical material properties, non-destructive examination techniques, vibration monitoring techniques, and associated ASME or equivalent codes required to support station engineering programs.nn• Knowledge of nuclear plant systems and operational activities.nnPEOPLE MANAGEMENT:nn• Ensures development plans are in place and followed.nn• Performs personnel activities for direct reports (promotions, salary changes, counseling, performance appraisals).nn• Prepares and delivers oral and written communications relating to work group and station activities (e.g., reports, presentations, department meetings).nn• Monitors work group reports and recommendations to assure evaluations, assessments and support are effectively developed and communicated.nn• Develops and maintains appropriate technical expertise within the work group to ensure adequate talent to perform meaningful assessments and program oversight.nn• Represents department/company on internal work teams and committees and with external entities.nn• Maintains composure in high stress or adverse situations.nn• Understands and implements company policies.nn• Provides employees with tools and training necessary for them to perform their assignments.nnFISCAL ACCOUNTABILITY:nnMaintains fiscal records and procedures of the department to ensure the effective and efficient operations.nn• Understands and manages to financial and budget targets.
