Department: MaintenancennJob Title: Utilities Technician Grade 1nnEducation/Prerequisite Requirements:nnAssociates Degree in one of the Engineering disciplines or equivalent related fields or life work experience equivalence and/or Completing the Apprentice Programnn1-3 years maintenance mechanic experience in a related fieldnnMust possess a general mechanical aptitude and ability to learn on a technical levelnnMust be able to attend training courses to obtain Stationary Engineers Boiler license ORnnMust be able to attend refrigeration courses sanctioned by RETA, to obtain refrigeration operator’s licensennEquipment/Training Knowledge:nn1 year of experience with either compressed air systems, steam generation, boiler systems, HVAC, ammonia refrigeration and PSMnn1 year experience with either fire prevention systems or life safety monitoring systemsnnAttend one Course in Stationary Engineering Boiler ORnnAttend Beginning Courses in Ammonia certificationnnSuccessfully entering and logging Work Orders and Work Order timennWork Order Completion >75%nnSchedule:nnAvailability after-hoursnnShift assigned or flexible schedule based on neednnWork Specifications – Responsibilities:nnAdhere to all Company Safety programs including, but not limited to: LOTO, Confined Space, PSM…etc. are adhered to within the department.nnPlant Utilities repairs, PM and trouble-shootingnnSuccessful completion of training program assignednnSuccessful training in shift rounds, daily checks and daily inspections
