Discover a more connected Laborer careernnAt CableCom , as a Laborer on our Telecom Underground team, you’ll participate in all phases of underground construction, including loading, delivery, digging, and equipment operation.nnConnecting you to great benefitsnnWeekly PaychecksnnPaid Time Off, Parental Leave, and HolidaysnnInsurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance)nn401(k) w/ Company MatchnnStock Purchase PlannnEducation ReimbursementnnLegal InsurancennDiscounts on gym memberships, pet insurance, and much more!nnWhat you’ll do as a LaborernnAll phases of underground construction include but are not limited to: Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipmentnnHand dig using shovel, mechanical toolsnnInstall and maintenance of underground telecommunications cablingnnClimb into and out of equipment (trucks, cars, backhoes, trenchers, etc.)nnOperate or work around heavy equipment and machinerynnWorking in congested or remote areasnnMaintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movementnnPerform general construction work under direction of Foreman/SupervisornnFlagging, property or worksite restorationnnMaintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures and policiesnnOther duties as assignednnWhat you’ll neednnTo be 18 years of age or oldernnAuthorization to work in the United States for this companynnHigh School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experiencennA valid driver's licensennTo be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical cardnnBasic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe mannernnBasic knowledge of and ability to hand tools and equipment in a safe mannernnAbility to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etcnnRegular and timely attendance is an essential function of this positionnnPhysical abilities & exposuresnnMust be able to perform the above for at least 8 hours per day 5 days per week. May be required to work over-time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or on-callnnDuties outlined in this position will require the employee to stand, crouch, sit, bend, use hands and fingers to handle or feel as well as reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low.
