Elderwood's network of Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs) are now offering a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) Training Program for individuals eager to join the healthcare field and provide compassionate care to residents in our assisted living facilities.nnHome Health Aide Training Program - Location, Date, Time:nnLocation: Elderwood at CheektowagannStart Date: Friday, November 1, 2024nnTentative End Date: Friday, November 22, 2024nnCourse Time: 9:00am – 5:00pm (Mon/Tue/Thur/Fri)nnClass will not be held on WednesdaysnnWhere: Elderwood at Cheektowaga 225 Bennett Road Cheektowaga, NY 14227 What is a Home Health Aide (HHA)? A Home Health Aide is a trained worker qualified to carry out health care tasks, assist with personal hygiene, housekeeping, and other related supportive tasks to a patient with health care needs in his/her home under the supervision of an RN. How Do I Enroll for HHA Training? Apply here! Once your application is received and reviewed, you will be contacted for a personal interview with the facility coordinator. At the time of your first interview you will also take a brief prescreening test. The test score and personal interview will determine your eligibility. How Much Does HHA Training Cost? You only earn money with this opportunity. This training is paid. However, typically this training program costs approximately $1500.00. Are There Home Health Aide (HHA) Employment Opportunities?** Yes! There is a need for this type of training and job opportunities are available.
