They include:nnTRUCKDRIVER, HEAVY TRUCK: Straight truck, over 4 tons, usually 10 wheels.nnTRUCKDRIVER, TRACTOR-TRAILER: A trailer having a set or several sets of wheels at the rear only, with the forward portion being supported by the truck tractor or towing vehicle.nnResponsibilitiesnnThe Truck Driver drives a truck to transport materials, merchandise, equipment, or workers between various types of establishments.nnManufacturing plants, freight depots, warehouses, wholesale and retail establishments, or between retail establishments and customers’ houses or places of business.nnThis driver may also load or unload truck with or without helpers, make minor mechanical repairs, and keep truck in good working order.nnPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
