Job Description

Cedar Park Med is recruiting dedicated and skilled Certified Medication Aides (CMAs) who are ready to provide quality patient care and join a supportive team environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the necessary skills and knowledge to assist patients in their daily living activities, ensure their safety and comfort, and accurately administer medications as prescribed, while upholding our mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:
n
    n
  • Provide direct, basic care and supervision to patients and residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and daily living needs are met.
  • n
  • Administer medication to residents as ordered by the physician under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
  • n
  • Perform location checks by observing and monitoring patients, ensuring their safety and security.
  • n
  • Transport and escort patients as required.
  • n
  • Work under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, following established policies and procedures.
  • n
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by performing environmental cleaning tasks according to agency policies.
  • n
  • Adhere to hospital/nursing safety procedures and regularly review them to ensure patient and personal safety.
  • n
  • Perform work that requires physical strength, such as frequently bending, stooping, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting, and lifting patients with assistance.
  • n
  • Ensure adherence to the agency's mission and desired patient outcomes.
  • n

Requirements:
n
    n
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or in a similar role.
  • n
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency is preferred.
  • n
  • Must possess both a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification and a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification from the state of Kansas.
  • n
  • Current BLS certification is required.
  • n
