Responsible for picking up donations around the area, complete donation pickups. The Truck Driver is also responsible to make sure he/she completes donation picks, stays on routes and helps unload donated items at the warehouse.nnEssential Functionsnn1.Plan daily routing based on pick-ups assigned.nn2.Adhere to pick-up operations manual as well as all policy and procedures as adopted by the Business Administrator and the Corps Officer.nn3.Responsible for the safety and security of the truck and equipment including securing the hand of truck at the end of each day. Make recommendations to supervisor if changes, modifications and repairs. Promptly report if accidents.nn4.Must assure good customer relations in the community and see that all customers are given prompt and courteous service. Report any problems immediately to supervisor.nn5.Assit with volunteer training and oversee volunteers, assuring all follow proper procedures.nn6.Responsibility for safety and security of the area and equipment. Properly observe all safety rules and regulations; ensure staff use protective equipment, Report violations immediately, all accidents involving personal injury or property damage to a supervisor.nn7.Handle other duties, as assigned.nnWorking ConditionsnnAbility to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead.
