Shift: Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Pay: $40.00/hr.
Job Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Inventory Transport CDL Driver transports new and used Inventory throughout the JX network of dealerships. Additionally, this individual will be required to deck and undeck new and used trucks. Decking and undecking trucks is commonly a reference to utilizing saddles to secure a "decked" truck behind a pull truck. It is not uncommon to deck multiple trucks along with a return vehicle. Preparing trucks for safe transport is essential in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Honor Commitments:

  • Ensure the timely and reliable delivery of new and used dealer inventory to assigned destinations, honoring commitments to customers and stakeholders by delivering products safely and on schedule.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety and reliability by performing pre-trip inspections to ensure that vehicles are in good working order and are properly secured before each trip.
Create Positive Experiences:
  • Utilizing proper equipment and defined processes, properly deck and undeck equipment at departure and arrival points, contributing to positive experiences for customers by minimizing the risk of damage and ensuring the quality of delivered goods.
Foster Lifelong Learning:
  • Embrace opportunities for personal and professional development, contributing to a positive work culture by engaging in company training programs and initiatives designed to continually improve your skills and knowledge.
Exhibit Pioneering Spirit:

Demonstrate Good Stewardship:
  • Exercise responsibility and accountability in documentation practices, ensuring accuracy and integrity in bills of lading and other load-related documentation, demonstrating good stewardship of company resources.
  • Take responsibility for reporting any issues or incidents promptly, including vehicle defects, accidents, and traffic violations, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining the safety and integrity of company vehicles and operations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum three years experience driving tractor trailers required
  • Must be at least 25 years old
  • Valid driver's license required; Class A CDL required
  • Experienced in vehicle transport and well versed in truck decking & undecking procedures
  • Must be willing to deck and undeck multiple trucks
  • Ability to adhere to established safe driving guidelines.
  • Ability to use equipment such as forklifts, hoists, and hand tools and remain certified to operate all such equipment.
  • Ability to perform all tasks in a safe manner, following all safety rules and guidelines.
  • Ability to Drive daytime or nighttime routes.
  • Ability to work safely & well with others
  • Dependable and reliable attendance required.
