Manufacturing Manager (Night Shift)
Location: South Carolina, United States (On-site)
Job Scope:
The Manufacturing Manager optimizes resources and collaborates closely with peer functions to deliver continuous improvement of operational standards. This position provides input to strategy formulation, execution, and engages the operating teams across shifts to deliver sustainable growth of results.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and ensure compliance to company and other regulatory requirements regarding Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards.
- Develop and implement equipment reliability systems such as autonomous and preventive maintenance work methods and practices to sustain and improve uptime.
- Develop and implement process control systems and best practices to reduce product and process variability.
- Collaborate closely with Peer group leaders to develop and train manufacturing team members on standard operating procedures and core skills. Observe and assess people’s capability.
- Deliver the shift, day, week, and monthly production plan in full adherence to prescribed manufacturing standards.
- Improve material usage and labor efficiency variances by identifying and eliminating losses across the value streams.
- Lead and support ES Foundry Operational Excellence program including coaching and training on company policies.
- Support and actively participate in strategic initiatives and projects for continuous improvement and/or business growth.
- Manage all aspects of production execution 24/7 analyzing by shift overall performance for effective and efficient daily direction setting.
Education & Experience:
BS in Engineering and/or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in leading a production organization in the solar cell, semi-conductor, or related industry.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Process and Value Stream Startup management
- Fundamental understanding of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
- Project management, problem solving, and continuous improvement skills.
- Effectively communicating, influencing, and collaborating with others.
- Proficient in MS Office.
