The Judge Group has partnered with a company in the Northern suburbs of Indianapolis to find a Director of Operations for their team. This role oversees all warehouse/distribution and logistics operations at the facility. The right candidate needs to have "on the floor" presence as well as be a big company strategy thinker!
Responsibilities:
- Manage the leadership team of the facility and all direct/indirect reports through development, training, career advancement, and job performance.
- Manage the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring that all processes are running efficiently and effectively.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring that accurate records are maintained and that all orders are fulfilled on time.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to optimize warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping of goods.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed and that the warehouse is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
- Manage a team of warehouse personnel, providing coaching and training as needed to improve performance and productivity.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Work with senior management to develop strategies to meet organizational goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- 5+ years in senior management roles overseeing warehouse and distribution operations
- 8+ years of distribution, logistics, and transportation experience
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations systems and software
