Position Title: Vice President, Clinical Development - Immunology & Rheumatology

Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished leader to join our key client. This role will be pivotal in shaping and executing our Immunology strategy, providing leadership in classical complement-mediated autoimmune disease across our portfolio. The Vice President will also play a crucial role in the guiding clinical and medical strategies from Phase 1 through Proof-of-Concept studies and beyond, contributing to drug candidate submissions, approvals, and commercialization efforts. We seek a seasoned professional with deep expertise in immunology and rheumatology, a proven track record in drug development, and strong leadership skills dedicated to advancing innovative therapies.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Development:
- Lead medical oversight for Phase 1 and Proof-of-Concept studies, including data review, site communications, and ensuring document quality.
- Drive clinical strategy and protocol design for drug development programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute clinical trials, ensuring compliance and supporting medical monitoring activities.
- Represent the Immunology team in external engagements.
Strategic Leadership:
- Contribute to the strategic planning and execution
- Partner with Research to integrate drug discovery insights into development programs.
- Provide medical leadership for KOL engagement, Advisory Committee interactions, and regulatory strategies.
- Foster innovation and differentiation through comprehensive data analysis.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Facilitate alignment across R&D, Translational Medicine, Regulatory Affairs, and commercial teams.
- Serve as a liaison between Immunology and executive leadership, providing updates on portfolio progress and strategic initiatives.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, innovation, and accountability.
Key Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in medicine or related field; Medical Degree preferred with subspecialty training in Immunology and Rheumatology.
- Minimum 15 years in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, focusing on Immunology and Rheumatology drug development.
- Track record in leadership and commercialization of Immunologic or Rheumatologic products.
- Deep understanding of immunologic diseases, drug development processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans, innovate, and deliver results in dynamic environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in complex scientific and clinical presentations.
- Expertise in regulatory interactions and successful submissions.
