We are seeking a Director of Manufacturing to join their team in Northwest Iowa.
Overview: The Director of Manufacturing is responsible for overseeing production operations, ensuring that products are produced on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This role works through managers to lead teams, maintain a safe work environment, and improve productivity using lean manufacturing principles, including TAKT time and standard work. Key responsibilities include managing resources, driving process improvements, maintaining compliance with safety and quality policies, and managing budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise manufacturing operations and ensure productivity through lean manufacturing principles.
- Manage production schedules, flow, and resolve challenges using TAKT time and standard work.
- Ensure employee safety and promote continuous improvement.
- Lead initiatives to achieve material cost and quality objectives.
- Oversee equipment acquisition and maintenance.
- Manage budgets and performance reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred with 5+ years of management experience in a production environment.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, TAKT time, and standard work processes.
- Ability to understand complex instructions and mathematical concepts.
