Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Manager to oversee and manage inventory levels at our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in inventory records, and implementing efficient inventory management systems. This role is crucial in supporting our production operations by ensuring that all materials and components are available when needed, without overstocking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records by conducting regular physical counts, reconciling discrepancies, and adjusting records accordingly.
- Inventory Optimization: Monitor inventory levels to ensure that they meet production needs without excessive surplus, minimizing carrying costs.
- Replenishment Planning: Collaborate with procurement and production teams to forecast demand and plan inventory replenishment accordingly.
- Inventory Audits: Conduct periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Data Management: Utilize inventory management software to track and analyze inventory data, generate reports, and identify trends or issues.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve inventory management processes, identifying areas for efficiency gains.
- Vendor Coordination: Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, resolve any supply issues, and negotiate favorable terms where necessary.
- Compliance: Ensure that all inventory practices comply with safety, regulatory, and company standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). Strong knowledge of Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of inventory management.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
