Job Summary: This role is critical for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of solar tracker components and materials. The Warehouse Manager will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing warehouse layout, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Develop and implement warehouse processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure accurate inventory records and physical counts are maintained.
- Implement and monitor inventory control systems to prevent overstock, understocking, and stockouts.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Optimize warehouse layout to maximize space utilization and efficiency.
- Manage the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and facilities.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and sales teams to ensure smooth flow of goods.
- Communicate with suppliers to coordinate deliveries and returns.
- Generate regular reports on warehouse performance metrics, including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and operational costs.
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry. Experience in warehouse site selection and establishment.
- Familiarity with inventory management, warehouse equipment, and material handling processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel within the Bay Area and occasionally to other locations as required.
