Title: Senior Excess Casualty Underwriter

Location: New York City

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Underwrite technical risks across a variety of products including Primary, Umbrella and Excess
• Manage a book of business ensuring you hit organizational goals and targets
• Create and maintain solid relationships with assigned wholesale brokers and industry groups in order to successfully manage business
• Some travel to producer locations primarily in the Northeast region
• Participate in marketplace initiatives to expand the overall brand and the specific Business Unit reputation
• Interact with regional customers, brokers and other industry professionals
• Complete special projects as assigned
• Work independently as a member of a team while building a profitable book of business

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA or BS undergraduate degree in relevant field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of P&C production underwriting experience
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to effectively multi-task with autonomy
• Strong communication skills (written and oral)
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Prioritizing work, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
