Reports to a Deputy General Counsel. Responsible for handling complex business transactional legal matters.
This is a permanent Full Time position (with benefits and pension), that offers a hybrid work schedule: one that combines on-premise and a remote model, which allows for a unique (and more flexible) work environment. Candidate should be located near our Dallas TX based corporate office.
Major duties
- Provides legal review of proposed business agreements, procurement actions, contract claims and contract enforcement.
- Practices preventive law, which may include developing and conducting educational sessions regarding prevention of litigation and, recommend changes to policy impacting The Exchange.
- Provides analysis of current and proposed laws and policy and provides counsel to The Exchange directorates.
Job Qualifications
- Law degree
- 5 years legal experience as a licensed and practicing attorney, with at least 3 years' experience with business transactional law.
- Exceptionally strong writing and verbal communication skills.
