JOB OVERVIEW:
Performs duties as assigned by Inventory Control Director involving the input of various information into the computer system, communicating with associates/allocators using the following
duties:
The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of Inventory Control Associates to ensure accurate inventory records within the company’s inventory management system. This role focuses on aligning physical inventory levels in the warehouse and stores with system records, implementing effective processes to minimize discrepancies and enhance inventory accuracy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reconciliation Report (82%)
- Lead efforts to research and resolve discrepancies between the Manhattan and Smart Retail systems.
- Prioritize discrepancies based on impact and urgency to ensure timely resolution and optimal inventory accuracy.
Cycle Count Support (6%)
- Oversee the reconciliation of variances during the cycle count process.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate inventory counts and address any issues that arise.
Walk the DC Floor (7%)
- Oversee daily inspections of the Distribution Center floor to identify misplaced products.
- Facilitate the location of missing products to enhance operational efficiency.
Store to Store Transfers (3%)
- Manage the review and correction of issues related to product transfers between stores.
- Foster environment that addresses root causes of transfer discrepancies to prevent future occurrences.
In Transit / PI Research (1%)
- Oversee the review of in-transit products prior to four days before physical inventory counts.
- Ensure proper documentation and tracking of in-transit items.
Damages (1%)
- Ensure that damaged goods are promptly removed from inventory levels at both stores and the distribution center.
- Maintain accurate records of damaged items to facilitate proper reporting and accountability.
Other (TBD)
- Participate in and lead inventory accuracy projects and initiatives as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall inventory management processes and practices.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree or High school diploma with one to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Excel is required
- 3+ years’ experience leading a team
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and understand documents such as general correspondence, department reports and office procedures. Ability to speak effectively with employees of the company.
- Proven experience in inventory management or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems (e.g., Manhattan, Smart Retail a plus).
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with associates and other departments.
