Materials Supervisor – Plastic Injection Molding

Currently looking for a skilled individual to fill a Direct Hire Materials Supervisor opening with a company in Maple Grove, MN. Interested candidates must have 3+ years of Plastic Injection Molding & experience supervising a Material Handling Department (planning/assigning work & evaluating employee performance) and ensuring a constant flow of raw materials to achieve maximum productivity.

Materials Supervisor Job Description:

• Maintain raw material inventory
• Plan, assign, and direct work
• Appraise performance and reward and discipline employees
• Address complaints and resolve problems with the assistance of the Molding Manager
• Ensure there is a constant flow of raw material to injection presses in the production area
• Assign any auxiliary equipment to achieve maximum productivity
• Use 5-S suggestions form for set-up, process or other improvements
• Inspect all material equipment and review material tags

Materials Supervisor Job Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years of related experience and/or training
• Must have plastic injection molding experience and knowledge of resins
• Must have the ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to drive a forklift
• Good communication skills
• Computer literacy skills

The starting salary for the Materials Supervisor position is $68K-$72K annually.
