We have an opportunity for a full-time Maintenance Manager role at a private equity-owned food produce company in Minneapolis, MN. The company processes fruits and vegetables for retail and food service customers. The facility has about 450 employees. The plant uses a combination of manual (hand cutting and packing fruits and vegetables) and automated processes.
The Maintenance Manager's role includes developing and managing the PM program and in-house mechanics, conducting equipment maintenance, and maintaining trailers (the company has its fleet of trailers).
Facility Description
- “Fresh Cut” is the produce industry term for the value-added processing of fruits and vegetables – chopping, shredding, slicing, dicing, de-veining, etc.
- We are in the process of completing a new brownfield fresh cut facility that will be a $100m+ revenue business on its own over the next 2 years. Facility is scheduled to open 11/01/24.
- New facility will be a 3 shift x 5 day operation to start (3rd shift is cleaning), could be 3 shift x 7 days operation at some point
Role Requirements
- Candidate must have experience standing up a maintenance program from scratch
- Food manufacturing experience preferred
- Work based in Minneapolis, MN, or must relocate
