Immigration Associate - Philadelphia, New York City, or Washington DC.
Our client, an Am Law 200 firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of experience to join their Immigration Practice Group. This position can be based out of Philadelphia, New York City, or Washington DC.

This position provides a fantastic opportunity to enhance your cutting-edge immigration knowledge with increased client contact, in an Am Law 200 firm while working on high value immigration matters. The position also provides additional opportunities to work with attorneys at all levels within the Labor, Employment, Benefits, & Immigration Section of the Firm.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Handling a diverse caseload of immigration matters such as non-immigrant visa applications and petitions, employment-based and family-based green card processes, naturalization applications, waivers of inadmissibility, and I-9 compliance
- Conducting legal research into immigration laws, regulations and policies to provide accurate advice to clients
- Collaborating with other attorneys, shareholders, paralegals and administrative personnel on complex immigration matters
- Drafting legal documents, such as forms, letters in support, petition packages, and correspondence. This may include H-1B, O-1, P-1, E-2, L-1A/B, NIW, EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-1C, J-1 waiver, Labor Certification/PERM cases, RFE, NOID and Audit responses, as well as other complex immigration projects
- Taking ownership of cases from beginning to end with limited supervision and assistance
- Utilizing and enhancing proficiency of case processing to handle each step in the life cycle of legal matters
- Contributing to case strategy and analysis by employing creativity, innovative thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Representing clients in interviews, and other proceedings
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience
- Previous immigration and labor and employment experience is required, specifically with Employment based immigration (temporary visas as well as permanent residence)
- Excellent knowledge of immigration law and practice backed up with strong research skills
- JD from an accredited university and excellent academic credentials
- Membership in the state bar for the market where you are applying, or the ability to become barred in that state
