QLM Search is recruiting a newly created Operations Director for a specialist Ingredients and Flavor group supporting the Food, Beverage and health/nutrition sector. Reporting to the US VP/GM this role forms part of the senior leadership team responsible for driving best in class operational performance across the business unit.
Key responsibilities include:
- Management of all operations, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, warehousing and planning
- Lead, drive and develop operational and manufacturing processes
- Provide strong partnership and controls with COMAN partners in the US
- Management of a large team with 4 reports and wider team of 80+
- Instil a world class manufacturing mindset drives improvement, processes and performance
- Provide leadership and planning for the division improving national operations and services
- Lead and guide the operational remit of the business unit strategic/operational plans
- Driving the simplification of processes through standardization, technology and innovation, and the implementation of methodologies for the unit
Candidates must have at least 10-15 years’ experience and leadership experience in a Food or Beverage manufacturing business, ideally with an engineering profile, and can evidence your implementation and management of WCM and Lean methodologies and process. You must have managed team across all facets of the supply chain including warehousing, logistics, H&S etc. Someone with experience of supporting a high growth business and its onsite GM would be beneficial. You will have implemented enhanced standard operating procedures processes and methodologies and must have the ability to lead and motivate a team, combined with a strategic approach to implementing change to drive operating performance.
