About the Opportunity:
We are recruiting for a dynamic Operations leaders to serve in the role of Director of Operations for 25-30+ veterinary hospitals in the North and South Carolina areas. This leader will support the practices in achieving operational excellence, meeting goals and performance targets, building culture, and recruiting and retaining veterinarians and support staff. The Director of Operations will spend extensive time in the field to support existing hospital leadership and staff, as well as supporting new hospitals during post-close integration, to ensure all hospitals are fully supported and operating optimally and help scale and grow the business.
About You:
The ideal candidate is an experienced Operations leader with prior success in a multi-site operations environment. This is a great role for someone who has successfully managed multiple locations (ideally 15+) in a vet/pet, healthcare, dental or other multi-site setting. This person is a strong general manager with a goal-oriented attitude, a passion for training and team development, and the business, financial, and strategic acumen to help scale a rapidly growing business and team, who is eager to grow and advance in their career, ideally with the following qualifications:
- BA is required, MBA preferred
- Located in North Carolina or South Carolina
- 5+ years of multi-site (15+ locations preferred) operational and/or management experience in fast-growth healthcare services businesses. Veterinary industry experience is a plus
- Experience with full P&L responsibility and budget management
- People management, culture and team building
- Willingness to spend time in the field (approximately 50% of time) and occasional travel out of state
