Job Summary:
The Business Analyst will work with Finance, Commercial, and Operations to create financial models and detailed analysis of KPIs to review and project current and future success of the organization’s goals and strategies. The role will require you to work cross-functionally with the business to gather data and information to validate the assumptions made in the modeling process. You will be contributing to the development of the organization’s strategic vision.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create & maintain reports that showcase analyzed financial results to different departments or leadership levels that include key performance indicators (KPIs), operational metrics, and visualizations that present results in a digestible format
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Be responsible for both ad hoc analysis & assisting with development of dashboards for Accounting, Finance and Store Operations reporting and insights
- Work autonomously to complete projects from ideation to final deliverable
- Creatively and independently problem solve for business needs using data that may need to be curated through collaboration with IT & Store Operations
- Compile and analyze data from multiple sources utilizing reporting tools to reach conclusions through interpretation of data and present results in a clear and concise manner
- Collaborate across multiple business areas to streamline and automate daily tasks increasing business effectiveness and efficiency
- EPM Planning (Hyperion) backup administrator
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field (Preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Financial Analysis or FP&A
- Strong strategic and analytical skills with the ability to influence and impact the business
- Expertise in MS Excel and creating financial models
- Oracle EPM / Hyperion SmartView User or other financial reporting systems
- Experience using multiple data sources to automate reporting (technical skills outside of MS)
- Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion
- Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with financial reporting dashboard software programs
- Oracle EPM administrator experience creating forms, reports, and running general ledger to EPM integration processes
