Position Title: Job Captain
At Form4, the Job Captain oversees specific portions of the project under the periodic supervision of project leadership. This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a highly creative, collaborative team and work on inspiring architectural projects. This position supports the expansion of our team for upcoming, exciting multifamily housing projects. Experience in this sector is a strong plus.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Produce and coordinate drawing sets during all design phases, under the direction of the Project Architect.
- Oversee select portions of the project, demonstrating initiative and sound judgment.
- Collaborate within the team, effectively communicating design solutions and documentation.
- Apply firm standards and conduct reviews of your work.
- Manage time and workload to meet project deadlines, with periodic input from project leaders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a team member on relevant projects in terms of type and scale.
- Experience overseeing distinct portions of projects.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; an excellent team player.
- Commitment to high-quality work and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Revit is required; familiarity with conceptual 3D modeling tools like Rhino, SketchUp, FormIt, and Bluebeam is preferred.
- Strong design sense and good graphical skills.
- Understanding of building materials, details, and construction techniques.
- Residency in the Bay Area.
- Professional degree in Architecture; LEED accreditation preferred.
