Job Description

Responsibilities -


  • Must promote a clean and safe workplace, with a primary goal to produce quality parts on time.
  • Review production schedules.
  • Verify set-ups and processes are approved in order to provide the optimum in quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Training of departmental employees.
  • Evaluation of employees within the department.
  • Ensure safety within department.
  • Must be able to stand 10-12 hours per shift.
  • Position requires manual movement and operation of equipment for training purposes.
  • Job may also require frequent lifting and bending.
  • Continuously seek improvement opportunities within and between all disciplines involved.
  • Aftermarket Departments - Insure a proper distribution of orders to the Pickers and review progress to insure our Picking Process is as efficient and effective as possible.
  • Willing to work as a team player amongst all our DC’s to insure the best, most efficient use of personnel and resources.
  • Position may require some manual handling of pallets and or boxes.
  • Long hours on their feet could also be a possibility.


Required Skills


  • Develop and maintain Team Member accountability for all issues identified in accordance to plant policies / procedures.
  • Manage & approve time of subordinates utilizing timekeeping system.
  • Interpret company policy to workers and enforce safety regulations.
  • Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
  • Communicate daily with the team.
  • Correct and improve actions in the respective area with regard to employee engagement.
  • Enforce safety compliance by ensuring the proper training is given in OSHA mandated regulations.
  • Report equipment and system malfunctions to proper personnel to minimize down time. (department specific)
  • Report machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance and process personnel.
  • Promote a sense of urgency to all downtime issues.
  • Mobilize appropriate resources to address quality or maintenance issues, striving for permanent corrective action plans to close issues.
  • Provide on-going suggestions for cost/quality improvements.
  • Identifies opportunities for Continuous Improvement, ensures that continuous improvement activities are planned, implemented, measured, reported and reviewed in the respective area of responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to work any shift and or overtime when required;
  • Must be willing to improve quality of work processes and reduce costs;
  • Must adhere to the requirements of the Environmental Policy.
