The Company and Role:
My Client is a mid-sized scaled up organization who are leaders of creating medical devices for spinal surgery.
The Clinical Education Manager (Medical devices) would be travelling across a territory in the US representing/training/educating surgeons on how to use the med device products for optimal results in spine based surgery.
Summary
- Support/Optimize the adoption of the products by surgeons, hospitals, and ambulatory surgery centres through education and training.
- Coordinate and lead training labs and workshops; support surgeons during evaluations and first cases with a variety of products; provide clinical and product training to sales managers and distributor sales teams.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the setup and logistics for training workshops and deliver high quality training experiences for target surgeons, operating room staff and potential customers.
- Provide case coverage for surgeons conducting evaluations and first cases with techniques and products as they move to becoming consistent users and customers.
- Deliver training programs on the remove and products to distributor sales representatives as necessary to optimize field sales efforts.
- Sustain a high level of communication with the sales team to ensure timely, high-quality education and training on techniques and products for surgeons and health care providers.
- Prepare, analyze and report monthly education and training activities in support of the sales team to close new system sales.
- Support spine conferences, workshops and other marketing events as scheduled by the headquarters office and management.
- Maintain accurate records of all demo/loaner and/or training products and complete frequent and routine inventory reports as requested by management.
- Operate effectively within the defined territory and within expense budget.
- Gather feedback from HCPs / surgeons to help improve the training campaigns and products.
- This role is 100% remote but you are ideally based in Colorado (as this is key area in your territory) and the organization is a mid-sized fast paced scale up organization – you will have to be self-motivated and be able to wear multiple different hats at any given time.
Minimum Required Education and Qualifications:
- 3+ years clinical training/educating/surgery experience in an Operating Room setting, representing of surgical products/capital equipment/medical devices. (Spinal products would be a bonus!) Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in medical or life sciences
- Must possess strong clinical acumen and the ability to build strong relationships with field-based teams – you will have a lot of collaboration with the sales team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and understanding of surgical procedures and clinical needs.
- Being a point of contact for users and surgeons by handling and resolve employee and/or customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal direct supervision.
- Be able to travel 50% - 80% per week with potential overnight travel.
