Be part of starting up a new Product Category at a new state of the art seafood processing facility for a market leading food processor!
Our client is establishing a cutting-edge seafood processing facility that will supply local and regional restaurants with premium-quality seafood. Their new start up seafood operation will follow industry-leading practices and strictly adhere to regulatory standards to ensure safety, quality, and sustainability. The Manager of Seafood Processing will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring the efficient execution of all processing activities, and maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction. This role also includes managing expenses and meeting financial targets. Success in this position requires effective communication and collaboration with key departments, including Quality Assurance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory Control, and Logistics.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
•Lead the seafood processing facility by fostering clear communication and accountability.
•Consistently deliver results that exceed customer expectations.
•Oversee and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
•Assess department performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
•Maintain a high-quality inventory of products.
•Monitor and manage inventory control daily, weekly, and at period-end cycles.
•Ensure employee compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation procedures, and processes that meet state, federal, and GMP standards.
•Set and model high standards for personal conduct and professionalism.
•Collaborate with regional leaders to support and enhance operational activities across the Fortune network.
Minimum Requirements:
•Experience – 3-5 years of relevant experience in seafood production management.
•3-5 years in processing perishable seafood
Facility startup / process development helpful
New product category introduction helpful
Environmental: Willingness to work in a cold storage environment with temperatures around 35ºF.
