If you are a Material Handler looking for an opportunity to grow and develop professionally, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you within our Appleton Group! Based in Rainsville, AL , you will supply manufacturing lines with raw materials and move unfinished goods through the manufacturing process, operating a forklift.
Typical working schedule is Monday - Friday 40 to 50 hours per week, with occasional half day on Saturday's.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will:
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures to include appropriate use of required PPE.
  • Operate a stand-up and LP forklift safely.
  • Supply raw materials where needed in the production process.
  • Maintain kit carts where applicable.
  • Facilitate movement of product through the production process.
  • Adhere to receiving procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of parts and home locations.
  • Handle and consolidate inventory in the stockroom and other areas.
  • Maintain appropriate varnish levels.
  • Safely operate various industrial ovens.
  • Participate in physical inventory activities.
  • Use lift assistance to handle products weighing more than 50 pounds.
  • Meet established efficiency and productivity standards.
  • Maintain 6S and Lean Manufacturing standards.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with additional or updated duties as business demands change.

You are motivated and can prioritize and complete work. You have great attention to detail and work well in team environments. You enjoy working with your hands and learning new operations that contribute to the success of the team that you work on
For This Role, You Will Need:
  • A minimum of 1 year of related experience, or demonstrated warehouse material handling or forklift operator skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required Forklift Certification.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, time management and organizational skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States, without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart
  • Manufacturing material handling experience
  • Forklift experience
