WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Sr. Product Line Manager (PLM) is an integral member of the Product Team, working closely with the Director of Product Development. As Sr. PLM, you will use your creativity to contribute to the overall vision and product strategy, while managing the product creation process from seasonal briefs through the design and development phase. You will drive collaboration throughout the entire Go-To-Market process, resulting in market-right and brand appropriate product lines. This role ensures that the product line balances style, comfort, and functionality, and addresses the diverse demands of the consumer base.
The Sr. PLM will leverage in-depth knowledge of the footwear industry to elevate Manitobah’s storytelling, competitive positioning, consumer segmentation, and real-time sales and market insights to articulate seasonal product strategy and line assortment plans. You act as a central communication channel and facilitator between cross-functional stakeholders at all checkpoints and milestone meetings.

LOCATION
Hybrid/remote work model with ability to report to our headquarters as directed. Our head office and flagship store are both located at The Forks in Winnipeg, Manitoba. International travel is required for this position.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Chief Product Officer, or designate
Key Relationships: Internal and external teams, Indigenous artisans, factory partners
Direct Reports: Designer II
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management:
Work closely with design and development teams to translate consumer insights into innovative footwear products that meet the specific needs and style choices of target community and consumers.
Manage members of the product and design team through positive mentorship, professional development, and collaboration.
Build and manage the product line with short & long-range lifecycle plans that align with product strategy and brand goals.
Use inputs from market insights, trends & sales history to help optimize SKU efficiency and profitability.
Define target market segments and develop positioning, messaging, and pricing strategies.
Ensure that key Product Line Management gates and dates are delivered upon.
Work closely with Indigenous artists and the design team to deliver the artists' intent and vision.
Create and present seasonal product briefs that incorporate business cases, marketplace influences, and consumer insights.
Ensure that briefs are developed in accordance with product category strategies and meet financial targets on time.
Lead GTM meetings and milestones to ensure timelines are met and product line is executed.
Support product sustainability efforts in relation to the short and long-term target planning, fostering within the Product team and across the organization.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
Professional Experience:
Minimum 5 years of footwear product line experience and development is required
Proficiency in utilizing social media, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, PLM and PM tools is required
Cold-weather product experience is preferred
Educational Position Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Product Development, Product Management, business, or related field is required
Education and experience in sustainability, sustainable product development, sustainable and ethical sourcing and disposal is preferred
