The Position: Under the supervision of the Center Director, the Clinic Supervisor is responsible for the overall planning, management, implementation and coordination of the nursing care services provided in the CEI clinic. The Clinic Supervisor trains and evaluates clinic nurses, home care coordinators, medical assistants and medical clerks. The Clinic Supervisor ensures that the participants are appropriately screened and patient flow is efficient and well coordinated. The Clinic Supervisor ensures that the clinic communication with other program staff and other people involved in the care of the participants is appropriate and timely. The salary range for the Clinic RN Supervisor role at Center For Elders Independence is $106,305 - $ 159,437 per yr. Salaries are based on the market for the Clinic RN Supervisor position, as well as experience, skills, abilities and work history This position eligible for 5K Sign On Bonus GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides discipline-specific orientation and on-going training to clinic nurses, home care coordinators, medical assistant and medical clerk. Provides clinical supervision and evaluation of clinic nurses, home care coordinators, medical assistant and medical clerk. Oversees clinic triage and patient flow and delegates tasks to ensure that the clinic functions efficiently. Provides nursing services to participants as ordered by the clinic providers in a timely manner. Administers, monitors and records prescribed medications and treatments, including IV fluid, medications, oxygen, etc., as ordered. Offers nursing consultation to other staff members as appropriate. Conducts and/or delegates the completion of participant assessments according to the IDT assessment schedule. Notifies the providers of any marked changes in participants’ condition, including discovery of wounds, and any acute physical or behavioral changes. Provides teaching, counseling and health education to participants and family members regarding nursing care needs. Ensures that all medical orders are carried out by the appropriate personnel and documented as completed in the participant’s medical record. Participates in the daily IDT meetings and ensures that clinic staff are informed of all IDT decisions. Follows all agency policies and procedures and ensures that all clinic staff follows organization policies and procedures. Approves clinic staff timesheets verifying accuracy of reported work hours. Engages in departmental planning and evaluation of service delivery. Ensures Home Care Coordinators implement approved home care services. Coordinates supply ordering for the clinic. Ensures Medical Clerk phone line is answered during clinic hours. Evaluates staffing needs and hires appropriate staffing according to the agency budget. Ensures that clinic remains in compliance with Title 22 and any other applicable Federal/State Regulations. Ensures clinic staff communicates effectively and appropriately with other people involved in participant care or clinic/site functioning. Participates in departmental and organization meetings. Completes all required paperwork accurately and on time. Participates in the agency quality improvement (QI) plan and other initiatives as assigned. Maintains the confidentiality of all company procedures, results and information about participants or families. Follows all CEI Policies and Procedures. Complies with all agency training requirements Maintains safe working environment by following CEI’s safety P&P’s. Maintains a courteous, helpful and professional attitude on the job. Displays a willingness and ability to be responsive to all customer groups Performs other duties as assigned in a positive and helpful manner. QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed RN, State of California, BSN preferred Three (3) years of nursing experience at RN level 1-2 years supervisory experience required with other related experience A minimum of (1) year experience in an acute care setting and experience working with a frail or elderly population. Able to perform in an emergency situation and provide direction and support in an appropriate manner. Excellent telephone/customer service skills. Exercises initiative and flexibility. Able to plan, organize and meet deadlines, taking into account changing priorities. Able to work in multi-cultural and inter-disciplinary setting. Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with participants, co-workers, medical staff, and the public; able to be congenial with other employees, customers and vendors at all times Current CPR and First Aid training certification on file. Good computer skills including Microsoft office programs.
