Part-Time Addiction Medicine Physician Opportunity - Salem, NH Schedule: Hours: Tues and Weds : 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (25 Hours Weekly) Middlesex Recovery , a division of BayMark Health Services, is a multi-site, multi-service organization providing opioid use disorder treatment and rehabilitation for patients across the country. Providing high quality, patient-centered treatment for addiction to prescription medications and other opioids remains the focus of Applegate s clinics. Combining evidence-based, medication assisted treatment with counseling and behavioral services, Applegate offers the most successful option for many patients.
Primary Job Function: - Admitting Patients for Treatment.
- Applicant must be able to cover absences for the Medical Director during vacations, attendance at addiction meetings, and personal absences.
- Physician will obtain a history and physical exam.
- Documentation into the EMR, entering orders for methadone dosing in the EMR or writing a buprenorphine prescription.
- Consistently monitoring patient dosages in conjunction with the Treatment Center Director
- Consulting on patients that are high risk and doing annual medication reviews.
- Other related duties as determined by supervisor
Qualifications Education Certifications: - Addiction Board Certification with at least 1 year of Addiction Medicine experience.
- Must be licensed in the state of New Hampshire.
- Must be Medicare/Medicaid provider.
- Knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatment is preferred.
- Drug rehabilitation training/knowledge is helpful.
- Physician will be overseeing/working with a Nurse Practitioner.
- Must be able to interact compassionately with a diverse population.
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
