The Retoucher is responsible for retouching high-resolution digital files. He/she is responsible for the quality check of all Forever 21 e-commerce assets and will be uploading images to the website. Critical thinking is a must for this role, extremely organized, must be able to handle high volume of email requests. Proficiency in Excel and exceptional Photoshop skills are required. This person will be reporting to the Assistant Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain an organized image archive of all image assets, ensuring that all files are easily and quickly available.
  • Color correcting, masking, texture retouching, skin retouching, and product retouching.
  • Complete ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Manager.
  • In-charge of quality checking images before uploading to our back-end system.
  • Delegating and prioritizing work as it comes in from Editors to Retouchers.
  • Set up Photoshop actions.
  • Send images for retouching to our outsource teams.
  • Maintain production of high volume of images under very tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of photo retouching e-com experience required.
  • Bachelors degree or related work experience in Photography and Digital Imaging required.
  • Must be proficient in all standard programs used in the industry including (but not limited to) Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop ), Capture One a plus, experience with Excel is mandatory, Outlook and utilizing a Wacom Tablet.
  • Must have a strong understanding of digital file handling.
  • Must have experience working with textures with a focus on textiles and skin.
  • Must be highly skilled in color correction, and masking with an understanding of the studio photography process.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
  • Must have critical thinking skills and be an excellent problem solver.
  • Must have strong visual skills and be resourceful and innovative with attention to detail and focus on maintaining quality of work.
  • Must be proficient on a Mac.

ADDITIONAL DATA:

The salary range for this position is $19.23 - $26.44 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience. In addition to your salary, Forever 21, and its affiliated brands, offers a benefits package, including 401(k) plan, overtime pay, flexible work schedule and a generous employee discount program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
