As a QC Inspector, youll have the responsibility of evaluating materials and assembly parts to ensure they meet quality control standards and are safe to use.
What youll do:
- Ensures that employees of the repair station are following the procedures established in the repair station manual, FARs (Federal Aviation Regulations), manufacturers specifications and applicable customer instructions
- Provides general oversight of the Quality Inspection Team with an emphasis on compliance regarding applicable regulations and procedures, as determined by the Repair Station Manual(s) and FARs
- Performs inspections with the use of Approved Technical Data and FAA Best Practices
- Foster and promote a culture of cooperation and teamwork
- Other duties may be assigned
Position Requirements:
- Five years experience as an Aviation Quality Inspector
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondences, to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages area, circumference and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Ability to work in a team environment to effectively navigate difficult issues and aid in process efficiency
- Proficiency in using various types of inspection equipment and visual inspection aids
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
- Must understand, read, and write English
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Characteristics:
- Prior experience acting as an Inspector in a Part 145 MRO under 145.153
- Airframe & Powerplant Certificate Preferred
