Fueled by more than 20 acquisitions since its formation in 2018, Meridian has established itself as an adhesive technology leader in the electronics, flooring, infrastructure, product assembly, and packaging markets with an expanding global footprint and approximately $300M million in revenue.Primary Function:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist to oversee the management of our third-party logistics (3PL) operations. This position is vital in ensuring seamless inventory control, efficient procurement, and timely fulfillment of customer orders.The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for overseeing our 3PL operations in the Toronto area, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and facilitating smooth inbound and outbound logistics. This role will involve close collaboration with internal teams, external manufacturers, and 3PL providers to maintain inventory flow, issue purchase orders, track incoming stock, and manage customer shipments.Key Responsibilities:Purchase Order Creation & Management: Issue purchase orders to both internal and external manufacturers, ensuring timely production and delivery of goods. Track purchase order status and manage any delays or issues with suppliers.Outbound Shipments Management: Coordinate outbound shipments from the 3PL to customers, ensuring orders are packed and shipped in accordance with customer requirements and deadlines. Work closely with the 3PL to resolve any issues related to order fulfillment.Receiving & Tracking Inventory: Monitor and track incoming inventory shipments to the 3PL, ensuring all goods are received in good condition, documented correctly, and promptly stored in the appropriate locations.Inventory Control: Manage minimum inventory levels, monitor stock levels at the 3PL, and collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and avoid stockouts or overstocking.Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Communicate regularly with 3PL providers, manufacturers, and suppliers to ensure alignment on inventory needs, lead times, and shipping schedules.Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot any operational or logistics issues that arise, including delays, discrepancies in inventory, or issues with shipments, and work to resolve them in a timely manner.Reporting & Data Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, purchase orders, and shipping statuses. Prepare and analyze reports on inventory turnover, order fulfillment, and supplier performance.Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline supply chain processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.Experience Required:3+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on 3PL operations, inventory management, and logistics coordination.Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.Experience with international shipping and customs documentation.Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including procurement, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping logistics.Previous experience in FTL/LTL shipping, including hazardous materials.Bilingual (English and French) is a plus.Proficiency in inventory management software, ERP/TMS systems (e.g., SAGE, Process Pro, Uber Freight, etc.).Ability to juggle multiple tasks with grace and composure amidst a high-volume production environment.Detail oriented with an eye for Accuracy.High level of problem-solving with the ability to tackle issues with ingenuity and collaborate seamlessly with other work teams to resolve those issues.High level of energy, drive, and resilience in the face of resistanceExcellent influencing and engagement skills with ability to energize others at all levels of the organizationExperience in collaborating with multiple organizations and multiple stakeholders to drive common solutionsDemonstrated record of successful time and project management skills; ability to manage and execute multiple projectsEnthusiastic, self-starter, energetic, organized, and service minded.
