Middle Mile Dispatcher Hours: 10-12 Hours Per Shift/Overnight
Role & Responsibilities:
- Ensure all drivers arrive on time to off-site lot, clock in, conduct pre-trip inspections and arrive to their designated warehouse for load out. Dispatcher is responsible for practicing good judgment and making any last-minute changes, as needed, to ensure all routes arrive on time.
- Track all arrival times and input delay codes and notes on Relay system
- Coach safety and performance
- Manage DOT hours and compliance
- Check and maintain vehicles for safety, preventive maintenance, and damage reporting procedures
- Ensure all drivers return to the off-site lot, conduct post-trip inspections, clock out, and assess vehicle condition upon return
- Dispatcher may be responsible for covering a route, as needed.
- Maintain open lines of communication with other Dispatcher(s), Drivers, and Operations Manager.
What You'll Need: - Must be at least 21years old
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to move Pallets with reasonable accommodation
- Must have a positive attitude
- Must be able to follow strict safety standards on and off the road
- Experience required
- Operate a smart phone device for GPS navigation, scanning, conducting administrative requirements such as clocking in/out, communicating with supervisors and other team members
