Position Summary (Job Description):
Receives, selects, stores and loads products and/or materials, and maintans packaging and palletizing material for finished product. Safely operates all material handling equipment. Accurately completes all associated paper work. Maintains clean work area consistent with company standards and from a safety, food safety, quality and efficient perspective.
Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:
1. Perform all work in accordance with environmental, health, safety, food safety, and quality standards, legal compliance, rules, regulations and practices of the facility.
2. Under the direction of the warehouse supervisor, continuously picks, lifts, carries and places product into a pallet to accurately build customer orders in various temperature environments. Moves product into a trailer or storage unit, is responsible for visually inspecting incoming and outgoing warehouse products to determine acceptability for shipment and/or receiving of product.
3. Reads labels and or printing on product containers and associated documents. Counts and calculates quantity of product to verify accuracy of shipment.
4. Must be able to consistently meet company safety, accuracy and productivity standards. Steps into the driving position and uses full range of peripheral vision to operate a forklift or pallet jack in an accident free manner.
5. Pre-weigh raw ingredients for the compounding deck by following instructions on batch card.
6. Uses brooms, mops and other cleaning materials (including solvents and soaps) to clean work area. Completes any other functions that may be assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED.
- One to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively communicate, present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, leaders, and other team members of the organization.
- Ability to use effective problem solving skills and make decisions using available resources
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to use mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in accordance with production paperwork.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to operate sit down and stand-up fork lift trucks.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment and/or clothing.
- Sit 8 or more hours per day.
- Stand/walk 7 or more hours per day.
- Continuously talk/hear throughout the day.
- Frequently bend, reach, twist/turn and grip/grasp.
- Frequently use eye/hand coordination and use handling/fingering to handle boxes, use hoses or tools.
- Frequently lift and carry less than 5 pounds from floor level to overhead.
- Occasionally kneel/crawl, squat or climb.
- Occasionally use eye/hand/foot coordination when handling film carts.
- Occasionally use fine motor tasks and taste/smell.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs for an entire shift from floor level to shoulder height.
- Occasionally carry up to 50 lbs 50-100 feet.
- Push film cart requiring 25 lbs of force 100 feet.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
ENVIRONMENTAL/ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS:
- Constantly work in damp, wet, humid and slippery environments.
- Constantly work near moving equipment with fumes or airborne debris.
- Constantly work in high noise levels requiring hearing protection.
- Occasionally work with toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Constantly work in extreme heat/cold.
- Occasionally work with hand tools causing segmental or whole-body vibration.
MACHINES/TOOLS/EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE:
- Bump cap, hair net, safety glasses, hearing protection, and uniform or smock.
- Sit down and stand-up forklifts
- Push/pull attachment and fork extensions
- Cut resistant gloves.
- Battery extractor and hoist mechanism.
- Battery charging station.
- Computer system.
- Food safety knife and small hand tools.
Qualifications:
Qualifications Required of this Position:
Licensed fork lift operator with a minimum of six months of safe operation of material handling equipment. Able to perform accurate visual inspections and repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds. Possess reading and basic math skills. Physically capable of standing, walking and twisting while carrying 50 pound objects. HS Diploma or equivalent required.
