The Role at a glance:

Constellation Culinary Group at The New York Botanical Garden is an exciting dining location, providing guests exceptional service year-round and during our seasonal events like the Holiday Train Show and Orchid Show. What Youll Do:

As a Cashier, you will have the opportunity to interact with diverse guests within our caf and events setting. This position is for a self-starter who can take ownership of the role and pitch in wherever needed. You will join a dynamic team dedicated to creating positive energy and memorable guest experiences.

Compensation is $17-$19 an hour.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet guests promptly and in a friendly manner, providing top-notch customer service, answering questions and making recommendations to enhance the guest experience.

- Handle customer transactions with accuracy and efficiencywhether its cash, card, or special requests!

- Keep the caf front and event spaces looking sharp by maintaining cleanliness and organization at the register area.

- Act like an ownertake initiative and keep the flow going during busy exhibitions and seasonal events, supporting the team where needed.

- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of food and sanitation practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

- 1+ years of experience working in a caf, coffee shop or concession setting is preferred.

- Proficiency in basic math and using POS systems, with accuracy in taking orders and payment processing.

- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills to engage with diverse guests and to collaborate within the overall team atmosphere.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
