In the role of Solution Architect, you will be a technology professional adding value to a gamut of Software Development lifecycle stages. You will create detailed design artifacts like program specifications, detailed enterprise Architecture; and independently develop and review code, test plans and contribute to the go-live plan. Location for this position is TORONTO, CA. This position may require 10% travel.
Qualifications Basic
Bachelor’s/master’s degree in information technology/Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent).
Overall experience 12 -20 years.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a solution architect.

Experience of having worked in diverse roles and domains such as infrastructure architecture, cloud architecture, software architecture, business analysis, DevOps, pre-sales and product/portfolio management.
Experience of executing digital transformation projects, which has significantly influenced the value creation for business.
Experience in creating a flexible technology strategy and a roadmap, to cater to the business strategy.
Experience in applying the methods, standards, and approaches for describing, analyzing, and documenting an organization's information technology (IT) architecture.
Experience in architecting and solutioning for public, private and hybrid cloud environments.
Experience in selecting the optimum technology stack for solution development.
Mandatory Skills
Should possess business level understanding of enterprise systems to drive innovations and transformations.
Ability to analyze the technical aspects, risks, challenges, cost, quality, resources, scope and value proposition of the proposed solutions.
Should have the confidence, credibility, and expertise to advise and guide the solution evolution in the right path.
Should have architected solutions based on popular public cloud services. ( Preference for experience in Microsoft Azure. )
Sound working knowledge of DevOps, IT infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, operating systems, build automation, containerization and container orchestration.
Ability to balance business and technology prerogatives, including the capability to articulate high-level technical solutions to business problems.
Ability to create microservices and service-oriented solution architectures.
Ability to address security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability attributes of solutions being proposed.
Ability to contribute to and guide technology vendor selection processes.
Understanding of costing models of different cloud services and technology choices.
Ability to act as a consultant and mentor for cloud solution developers, application developers, product managers and business analysts.
Ability to obtain and maintain an in-depth understanding of application/infrastructure landscape, underlying software architectures and constraints to support the digitalization journey.
