How will you make a difference?
As a member of the sourcing team, you will be responsible for improving the project margin, guaranteeing costs, negotiating, managing the entire project from start to finish and working with different teams within the organization. He is a real project manager for the purchasing function. Being a key role in the department, the incumbent must be fully adept with the various information systems and Excel.
What do we want to know about you?
Bachelor or Master in Purchasing, or Supply Chain Management, or Operations and Production Management or related field.
Proficiency in a related field such as blueprint reading, knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining, foundry, etc., an asset.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in purchasing projects in the manufacturing / industrial industry / or related professional experience.
Experience in a globalized industrial environment.
Team work experience, management experience is an asset.
To excel in negotiation, to be insistent.
Have a team spirit and interpersonal professional skills for effective communication with suppliers, customers and related personnel.
Mastery of the MS Office Suite.
Thorough knowledge of Excel, intermediate to expert level.

Knowledge of quality systems.
Must be able to travel on business.

What will your typical day look like?
Reporting to the Project Purchasing Manager, the Project Buyer/Team Lead is responsible for:
Improving project margins, guaranteeing costs, negotiating, managing entire projects from A to Z and working with different teams within the organization. He/she is a true project manager for the purchasing function.
Has a transversal role in relation to the team's project buyers on specific actions such as SCRI, Should Cost, Make or Buy.
As a Project Buyer/Team Lead, you will:
Improve the contractual margin of projects (CM) by achieving the objectives set while ensuring the proper execution of the project from a point of view of respecting delivery deadlines and the required quality.
Guarantee the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO) and negotiate with suppliers to improve the profit margin of the contract.
Manage all aspects of the Procurement process for assigned projects, starting with the needs consolidation, planning and then tendering phase.
Work with project teams and commodity buyers to manage supplier selection, use standard or existing products, ensure the successful development of engineering parts and ensure the qualification of suppliers and / or standard parts in deadlines, contribute to the APQP and follow suppliers during development.
As a member of project teams, you will also be the interface between technical development, family buyers, quality, supply, and supplier.
Ensure that specific cost-reduction activities identified by other project buyers are carried out within the appropriate deadlines.
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
