The Company is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a key executive, overseeing all legal matters related to the company's operations, strategic initiatives, and corporate governance. This pivotal role involves shaping legal strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and protecting business interests.
Responsibilities include:
Drafting and reviewing a variety of contracts
Managing the company's intellectual property portfolio
Providing expert legal advice on corporate governance, compliance, and risk management
Involvement in complex transactions, strategic partnerships, and financing agreements
Working closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives while managing legal risks
Applicants for the Senior Corporate Counsel position at the company should have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and be admitted to practice law in Canada and/or the U.S. A minimum of 5-7 years' legal experience is required, with a strong background in corporate law, commercial transactions, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and litigation.
