Every day, ANDRITZ continues to deliver successful innovative solutions to our customers globally. Our Automation & Digitalization division seeks a Senior Engineer who specializes in the design, development, and implementation of control systems for industrial facilities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Lead control systems projects from inception to completion, ensuring that project goals, timelines, and budgets are met. Design and develop control systems, including hardware and software components, to meet the specific requirements of a project.
Develop and implement control algorithms and logic.
Integrate control systems with existing or new equipment, machinery, or processes.
Test and debug control systems to ensure proper functionality and adherence to specifications.
Prepare technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, user manuals, and maintenance procedures.
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and resourcing, including managing the procurement of necessary equipment and materials.
Define project objectives, scope, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
Manage project risks and issues, including developing contingency plans and mitigating strategies.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of project milestones.
Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Mentor and coach junior engineers and technologists.
Assist with the development of proposals.
Ensure compliance with ANDRITZ Quality System.
Embody, demonstrate, and reinforce the ANDRITZ core values and behaviours.
When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering with a focus on automation and electrification technologies.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial engineering; preferably in Pulp & Paper.
Consulting engineering experience an asset.
Registered as an EIT or P.Eng., or AScT in British Columbia.
Strong understanding of automation and electrification technologies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Project management experience an asset.
Legally entitled to work in Canada.
Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites.
