Job Details: The Hematology/Oncology Operations Supervisor primarily oversees the preparation and storage of all Hazardous Medications. The Hematology/Oncology Supervisor ensures all pharmacy personnel are adequately trained and competent in the medication preparation process in accordance with USP 800 requirements, professional standards of practice, and laws, rules, and regulations. Responsibilities include acting as the pharmacy department's USP 800 Designee to oversee entity compliance with USP 800 and oversight of hazardous handling within the Dayton Children's Organization
The Hematology/Oncology Operations Supervisor is responsible for the provision of pharmaceutical care to oncology patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings and serves as an expert consultant within the specialty practice areas of oncology and supportive care/symptom management. This person also acts in a collaborative role between the inpatient pharmacy and the Hematology/Oncology Staff and Clinical Hem/Onc Pharmacist to provide optimal, safe care to their patients.
Department Specific Job Details: Education: - Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD Degree is required
Certification/Licensure: - Rph Ohio - Registered pharmacist - Ohio State Board of Pharmacy is required
