LEGAL ASSISTANT (SPANISH SPEAKING REQUIRED): Seeking a Legal Assistant, who is looking for a career in the fast paced environment of plaintiff personal injury. Prior experience working in a law office and having knowledge of No-Fault insurance is required. All candidates must be motivated and enthusiastic about interacting with co-workers, attorneys, clients, insurance companies and medical providers on a daily basis. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential to providing our clients with the highest level of professional service. Speaking and writing proficiency in Spanish and English is required. Job Duties include, but are not limited to the following: · Speaking and corresponding with clients. · Staying informed and up to date with the medical treatment of multiple clients. · Obtaining medical records from health care providers. · Scheduling and confirming Independent Medical Examinations with clients and insurance companies. · Preparing client files and medical records for negotiations. · Filing Retainer and Closing Statements with the New York State Office of Court Administration.
