Job Duties Performs and processes echocardiographic examinations including two-dimensional, three dimensional, M-mode, Doppler, and special procedures and exercise techniques. Performs emergency procedures when necessary; transports equipment and patients. Assists with special procedures including transesophageal echocardiography, intraoperative echocardiography, pericardiocentesis, and contrast echocardiography. Analyzes and files echocardiographic data utilizing digital computer analysis systems. Assists in developing and maintaining internal training programs and in technical instruction of echocardiographic techniques. Assists in approved research activities. Performs mobile Echo service as directed. Interprets and follow policies and guidelines to define procedures and meet goals and deadlines. Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.
