Position Summary: Maintains major electrical equipment and systems. Facilitates repairs, replacement and upgrades to all electrical systems to ensure a safe and functional facility. Job Responsibilities Under general direction, inspects, installs, repairs, and replaces all components of the electrical distribution systems. Installs new system components, electrical panel boards, switch gear, ATSs, generators, paralleling gear. etc. Assists Director in planning for expansion/renovation projects and forecasting operating budget and capital needs. Performs other related tasks to the maintenance, service, repair, testing, inspection and installation of electrical systems and components, maintenance of inventory parts and supplies. May provide assistance to other maintenance personnel in performing repair and service functions. At management’s discretion, performs other related duties consistent with minimum level of preparation and training required and department demands/needs. Qualifications: Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred: Graduate of trade or vocational school in related field Experience Required: 3 years of progressive experience with an electrical contractor or construction company or experience in a commercial or hospital service environment.
